Kevin Hart says Will Smith is apologetic after Chris Rock slap at the Oscars: ‘He’s in a better space’

Kevin Hart shares an update on Will Smith almost four months after he beat Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony.

Hart is a close friend of Smith and spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his animated movie “DC League of Super-Pets” which was held in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

On the red carpet, he stated that Will was apologetic and that he is in a better place than what he wanted. “People make mistakes, but we are all human. It’s not about dwelling on the past; it’s about accepting the present and trying to move forward.

Hart told the outlet that he hoped his two friends could “move past” the violent incident that took place while Rock was giving an award.

He said, “I can only hope that they find some solace in it and move on.” I just love good energy. “I love it when people are the best.”

Hart said, “I still love Chris, and I still love him. And, you know what? You can’t judge someone by one thing. Hart said that life is a journey and people can grow. Give him the chance to do this.

Jada Pinkett Smith Smith’s wife addressed the viral moment in June on “Red Table Talk”. She pressed Rock and her husband to reconcile during that time.

She said, “Now, Oscar night. My deepest hope for these two intelligent, capable men is that they have an opportunity heal, talk it out, and reconcile.”

“The world needs them both. We all need each other more than ever. Will and I will continue to do the same thing we have done for 28 years. Let’s just keep trying to figure out this life together. Thank you for listening.”

After making a joke about Pinkett Smith’s bald head, the ” King Richard” star got backlash on March 27, when he slapped Rock.

Smith returned to his chair and shouted twice at Rock to get his wife’s name out of your mouth after Smith’s attack. Smith returned to his seat less than an hour later to accept the Oscar. He cried and apologized to the Academy, but did not mention Rock.

After the incident on stage, Smith was expelled from any Academy Award events in the next ten years. After Smith resigned, the punishment was imposed.

Smith apologized for his actions before the punishment and resignation.
