Paul Solomon attended school at Brigham Young Academy before being called into missionary service with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). While serving out this mission, he married Kathryn Grove Halliday (1850-1933) on November 24th, 1878 in her hometown in Michigan where they raised four children together: Pauline (1880), Clara Maudie Ellen(1882), John Franklin Stewart(1888) and Helen Lucile(1893).
