Amber Heard is both ‘the mom’ and ‘the dad’ of baby girl Oonagh Paige
Amber Heard announced on Instagram in July 2021 that she’d secretly welcomed baby Oonagh Paige Heard through a surrogate, to whom she’s “the mom and the dad.”
The photo that was released with the story illustrates the woman lying on a white mattress with Oonagh sleeping in her arms.

“Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child,” she wrote on July 1st of this year. “I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
She claimed that her daughter was born on April 8th, 2021. In the same Instagram account, Heard holds her daughter while they stare at the computer screen. “I’m just the mom and the dad. She’s the boss,” she wrote on July 21 2021.
Another picture shows her doing curls using her left arm, while she holds Oonagh to her right, with the caption “Multitasking mama.”

Oonagh turned one just three days prior to when Heard was required to appear at Fairfax County Circuit Court, in Virginia for the beginning of Johnny Depp’s trial for defamation against her.
“My little O is a year old today,” she wrote on April 8, with a picture of her child lying on the floor, playing by blowing pink balloons. “I still can’t believe you’re here. The greatest year.”
Depp Depp is seeking Heard with a claim of $50 million, in Fairfax County Circuit Court, in Virginia for her remark that she was an abuse victim in an article published in 2018 by The Washington Post.

The piece was not able to identify the actor by name, which damaged his career and reputation. Heard is suing for $100 million and accuses Depp and his attorney of slandering her, saying that her accusations are as a “hoax.”
In her evidence, she spoke about her daughter several times. “I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too,” she stated to the jurors.
Oonagh The middle name could be in honor of Heard’s mother, Paige Heard, who died in May of 2020. Oonagh is a name that has been used for a long time. Oonagh is of Irish origin and is a reference to lamb.
Friends of the actress told Page Six that Heard used the surrogate method because she’s in a position to have her own child. She also said she said that she is proud to be the “Aquaman” actress’s proud to be the primary legal father.
She hasn’t shared the name as the father of her child, or donor of sperm, but there’s been speculation regarding her boyfriend from her past, Tesla CEO Elon Musk may be the father of the baby.
A former friend of their sister of Heard, Whitney Henriquez Heard, made a declaration that was filed by their team of Depp in the defamation lawsuit, but it hasn’t been used as evidence.
Jennifer Howell said that she was in contact with Heard’s deceased mother while she was visiting Henriquez. “Paige told me that Amber said Elon was controlling, abusive and that she was in a legal battle with him over the rights to embryos that they had created together,” she wrote in her court filing.
Depp has been accused by Heard of cheating with Musk during their marriage, the accusation which she and SpaceX founder have dismissed. The spokesperson of Musk hasn’t responded to the request for comments.
